Vom 22. bis 24. Sept. 2021 konnten Vertreter der DIN-Normenstelle für Schiffs- und Meerestechnik (NSMT) an der ISO/TC8-Sitzung „Ship and marine technology“ im Rahmen einer Online-Sitzung teilnehmen.



ISO/TC8 40th Plenary Meeting Draft-Resolutions
Resolution 432
ISO/TC8 congratulates Mr. Tomoyoshi Chiba and Mr. Tae-Jong Park for winning the 2020 ISO Excellence Award and thanks them for their dedicated work and contributions to ISO/TC8.
Resolution 433
ISO/TC8 approves the nomination of Mr. Steven O’Malley as Chairman of ISO/TC8/SC11 for another three years from 2022 to 2024 according to ISO/TC8 CIB ballot from 13th August to 10th September 2021.
Resolution 434
ISO/TC8 approves the appointment of Mr. Li Yanqing to be the convenor of ISO/TC8/AG1 “Chairman’s Strategic Advisory Group” for another three years from 2022 to 2024.
Resolution 435
ISO/TC8 approves of changing the registration status of ISO/AWI 23314-1 Ships and marine technology – Ballast water management systems (BWMS) – Part 1: Risk assessment and risk reduction general principles, to PWI in ISO/TC8/WG12.
Resolution 436
ISO/TC8 approves of changing the title of the following projects:
- Change ISO/AWI 3725 from Ships and marine technology — Ballast water sampling – Evaluating the performance of compliance monitoring devices, to ISO/AWI 3725 Ships and marine technology – Aquatic nuisance species – Methods for evaluating the performance of compliance monitoring devices for ballast water discharges.
- Change ISO/AWI 24440 from Ships and marine technology – Maritime education and training – LNG crew training, to ISO/AWI 24440 Ships and marine technology – Maritime education and training – Crew training for alternative fuel ships
Resolution 437
TC8 notes the importance of the strategic discussion on maritime GHG reduction session during seminar and urges all Subcommittees and related Working Groups in ISO/TC8 to consider the issue of maritime GHG reduction and investigate how standards could help.
Resolution 438
ISO/TC8 thanks Dr. Xiaofeng Wu for his contribution and agrees to change the project leader of ISO/AWI 23799 from Dr. Xiaofeng Wu to Mr. Jiexin HU and Mr. Yijia LAO.
Resolution 439
ISO/TC8 would like to thank all ISO/TC8 members and stakeholders for their contribution to ensuring the smooth running of TC8 during the pandemic.

Die DIN-Normenstelle Schiffs- und Meerestechnik (NSMT) in Hamburg ist zuständig für die nationale Normung auf dem Gebiet der Schiffs- und Meerestechnik. Außerdem ist die NSMT verantwortlich für die deutsche Mitarbeit in den entsprechenden europäischen und internationalen Gremien.
Über die ISO
Die Internationale Organisation für Normung ISO ist die zuständige Normungsorganisationen und erarbeitet internationale Normen für fast alle Bereiche mit wenigen Ausnahme. Stand 2015 sind 162 Länder in der ISO vertreten. Hiervon sind 119 member bodies (Vollmitglieder), 39 correspondent members (korrespondierende Mitglieder) und 4 subscriber members (haben Beobachtungsstatus). Jedes Mitglied vertritt ein Land, wobei es aus jedem Land auch nur ein Mitglied gibt. Das Deutsche Institut für Normung e. V. (DIN) ist seit 1951 Mitglied der ISO für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland.

ISO TC8 Aufgabenbeschreibung
Standardization of design, construction, training, structural elements, outfitting parts, equipment, methods and technology, and marine environmental matters, used in shipbuilding, comprising sea-going ships, vessels for inland navigation, offshore structures, ship-to-shore interface, the operation of ships, marine structures subject to IMO requirements, and the observation and exploration of the sea.
Excluded
- electrical and electronic equipment on board ships and marine structures (IEC / TC 18 and IEC / TC 80);
- internal combustion engines (ISO / TC 70);
- offshore structures for petroleum and natural gas industries, including procedures for assessment of the site specific application of mobile offshore drilling and accommodation units for the petroleum and natural gas industry (ISO / TC 67 / SC 7);
- steel and aluminum structures (ISO / TC 167);
- equipment and construction details of recreational craft and other small craft (not being lifeboats and lifesaving equipment) less than 24 metres in overall length (ISO / TC 188);
- sea bed mining;
- equipment which is not specific for use on board ships and marine structures (e.g. pipes, steel wire ropes, etc.) and falling within the scope of particular ISO technical committees with which a regular mutual liaison must be maintained.
